hi

I need to retrieve the current index of the
Application.Selection.PageSetup.TextColumns object if it
is possible

Hi Matt,

The total number of columns:
Selection.PageSetup.TextColumns.Count

Or the column you're currently in:
Dialogs(wdDialogFormatColumns).ColumnNo
