Retrieve my posts

Hi It would be helpful to be able to filter on any posts that I had made as i
often refer back to them, I dont know of a way to do this.

Try using google:
http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?&as_ugroup=microsoft.public.excel.*

Specify enough information (author/date/subject/keywords) to limit your search
(if you want).

If you want to use the strange Microsoft web interface to the newsgroup,
that will probably have a different way.

You also have the ability to click on any user name (including your own) and
then click on "show recent posts". A quick list from your name produces these
results:

In the MSFT web interface, it's pretty much a hit-and-(mostly)miss thing:
YOu enter your username into the Search For entry (no other options like
dates available) and hope it gives you something. It obviously does NOT
return all postings, it does not sort them by date, and it is pretty much a
joke of a search return (just my humble opinion). And with the system
currently not even sending out response notices, once again the HTML side of
it all has fallen into the deep, dark crevasse marked "woefully inadequate".

Yes. That's roughly what I guessed when I said "different way". :-(

Google isn't perfect, but I think it's usually a better bet than the MS web
interface.
