return software how do I?

I recvd Microsoft office frontpage for x-mas and I did not realize until
after opennig it that I have this on my computer already. It came with the
Office XP on my computer. So I took it back to Compusa to return but they
under no circumstances take back software after the box has been opened.
They told me to contact Microsoft to find out how to return the software and
get a refund. But I have been looking everywhere on this site and I cannot
find a way to e-mail about this matter. I do not want to waste a "free
support" e-mail on this matter b/c I have other Microsoft software that I may
need assistace with in the future. My boyfriend bought the software for
$217.23. We had been traveling over the holidays which is why I did not
realize that my computer had come with this software sooner.
Pls someone let me know who I need to contact to resolve this.

Thanks,
Rebecca

That is a lot of money but if it is any consolation.... the 2003 version is
better than what came with OfficeXP (2002 version). I don't know if you
have a 2004 version or if one is even out but the 2003 is a great package.

To find out if you have FrontPage installed, do a file search for
FRONTPG.EXE. Office xp does not come with FrontPage.

My OfficeXP Professional did come with FrontPage.
While it is true that not all do, the earlier release of the Professional
version includes FrontPage. I know this for a fact, because that is what I
have. I then installed FrontPage 2003 on top. FrontPage 2003 simply
adds/updates the Office Suite.

I wonder if anybody has done?
Not sure I can trust MS for this return, although I haven't heard of anybody
doing this. Just seems that once you send it off, it goes into the big
black hole of Microsoft.

FP 2003 is the latest version. A new version won't be out til at least 2006

It's not like they're wama-bama-ding-dong inc, bud.

I suppose, though, that you feel comfortable returning stuff to
walmart(sucks)?
