Reveal Formatting

Somehow, my new messages I am composing, all have the reveal formatting stuck
in the on position and it's driving me crazy. I know how to turn it off in
Word but not in Outlook. Can anyone help, please?

Try CtrL+Shift+8 - if that is not it, what exactly do you see?

Open a message, then click Office button, Editor options, Display
Uncheck any characters you don't want to see.
