Reveal Tags

I was recently editing a page created in FrontPage, so I clicked on "Reveal
Tags" under the View menu. There are a number of tags that confuse me,
because I can find no reference to them anywhere. For instance, there is an
"o" and the corresponding "/o" tag. What the heck is this? I've
searched the web for indices of html tags, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

<o> is not an html tag, it is used in xml.

Did you use Word to create your web pages?

It is a MS Word only marker tag (WML)
Don't create your content in MS word
