Reverse Engineering Oracle 9i database fails

According to Microsoft, VISIO 2003 Pro. ODBC does not support Oracle 9i.
They suggested using the 'Generic' driver instead of the 'Oracle Server'
driver. Using the generic driver limits what can be reversed engineered as
some options are grayed out.
Is there a solution (better drivers, etc.) out there that solves this
problem.
