Reversing sign of a positive number

I have a worksheet that has a debit column and a credit
column. They are both positive numbers. I need to make the
credit column a negative number then merge these into the
debit column to have a mix of positive and negative
numbers.

Hi
- enter -1 in an empty cell and copy this cell
- select your credit column values
- goto 'Edit - Paste Special' and choose 'Multiply'

after this copy the credit column manually under the debit
column
