Reverting back to Office 2003

My trial of 2007 has expired and I do not wish to upgrade. My 2003 programs
are still installed, but I am unable to use them. I have the product key,
but not the cd's to reinstall. I have uninstalled 2007.

"Please wait while microsoft configures.. word/access/excel/etc." Then I
receive "installation error: File not found SKU015.CAB." Asks to insert
cd's or find network location where program was installed.

By the way, I was also receiving these messages while 2007 was still active,
however, I was able to cancel them and use the 2007 applications. Any help
is greatly appreciated, I'm dead in the water as far as work goes.

I don't have them. The laptop was an incentive reward from a company that I
previously worked for. The product key sticker is on the machine, but I have
no way of getting the disks. Is there a way to reinstall with the product
key?

No there is not.

The situation you have then can't be resolved. You may have the software
installed but apparently you weren't given the software. That product key is
probably for windows, not Office. I've never seen an Office key attached to
the computer. Looks like it's time to visit Amazon.com to buy new software.

Thanks for all of your help. I'm positive the software wasn't pirated, I was
hoping I could uninstall 2007 once I determined that I didn't like it.
Unfortunately, I no longer work for the company who gave me the laptop and
software, so I guess I have to purchase the software again. I wish I had
never downloaded the trial, lesson learned!

I never meant to say or even imply that Office was pirated. When they gave
you the laptop, which is cool, with Office installed, you should have either
been given the CDs or told that you could use it as long as you were an
employee. This was their omission, in my opinion.

Many of us warn people about the trial versions. I wish they weren't handing
them out as if it was no big deal. As you've learned, it can be a nightmare.
