RGC to CMYK problems

R

Rachel

I created a business card in MS Publisher and converted it to CMYK for
printing. Now, in CMYK, the colors are way off and in trying to change them
using the FILL tool, I cannot seem to get even close to the color that I
want. Is this normal? Why is this happening? Is there any way that I can fix
this or.........? thank you!

The only way to get the desired colors is to first look at a printed
swatch book that gives you the exact CMYK build. You then build a new
CMYK color in Publisher with those values. Extreme blues, greens and red
will not convert well.

There is a lifetime of science behind going from RGB to CMYK and it is
extremely complex. First thing to remember is "Never trust your
monitor". Second thing is "Never trust your printer". Third thing is
"See rules one and two".

Send me what you've got so I can get a better idea of what your talking
about.
