I've just installed MS Office Pro 2003 in place of my previous Office
Pro XP (which I uninstalled prior to the new installation). I then
wanted to install the MS Remove Hidden Data tool. I downloaded this
and ran the installation, and it duly appears in the File Menu (and
works) in Excel and Powerpoint etc -- but not in Word. On starting
Word I get this message: "An error occurred while trying to launch the
Remove Hidden Data tool. Try reinstalling." I've done that, but get
exactly the same.

Can anyone advise what I should do, please? Thanks in advance.

Did you just download the RHD utility or did you still have it from a
previous download? There was an older version available for awhile but
it has been replaced. So if it wasn't a recent download I would
uninstall the old utility and download version 1.1 from:

If it is current then did you try uninstall it and then reinstalling
it?

I tried both a "repair" and an uninstall and re-install. As I said,
the problem is just with Word -- fine with Excel, for example.

I seem to have something that causes problems with Word. The
difficulty I mentioned earlier that I had with WordToys and Word XP
occurs again with Word 2003, even though as I said I did a complete
uninstall of Office XP before installing Office 2003. And now this
with rhdtool.
