Ribbon UI checkbox for User Data?

R

Ridge Kennedy

Dear All,

At the suggestions of the list, I have been working with the Ribbon UI to
move our Office 2003 VBA add-ins into Office 2007. I have been successful
with simple button actions.

For one of our old templates, however, I would like to allow users to check
a checkbox and be able to use that checked/unchecked data to make decisions
when running some procedures.

Can this be done? Or is the checkbox in the ribbon UI designed only to be
used in conjunction with other windows controls? If it is do-able, I'll
share my test code, and perhaps someone can point me in the right direction.

Sincerely,

Ridge

I would think that the simplest thing to do would be to have an autonew
macro in the template display a userform that contained the checkbox and
then use the state of the checkbox when the user clicks on a command button
to dismiss the form to control the procedures that are then run.

Hope this helps.
