Rich Text

In Access 2003 I am trying to meet a user's requirement to store rich
text (bullets, bold font, a table with borders etc - typical MS Word
formatting) in a field. When I attempt to add the rich text control
the well know (according the numerous posts that I see in this news
group) error message pops up stating something to the effect "... does
not support the ActiveX control". The apparent fix is to change a
specific registry setting on the machine - however there is some
indication that the change may expose a security flaw. That plan will
not fly w/ the US Army in a war zone.

Any other suggestions to meet the requirement?

Stephen Lebans has a custom RTF control you can download. Like a lot of his
work, it's been the gold standard for this kind of thing for a number of
years. MS just got around to including native RTF ability in ACC2007.

Like much of Lebans work, you have to read/follow the instructions carefully.

I assume, from your next to last line, that you're in the land of sun and
sand! If so, stay safe my friend!

Thank you! Yes I am where you think I am. However, there isn't much in
the way of sand here. It is all dirt!
