I have had the desire to turn this feture of Outlook off, but could not
find any information about where the settings were. I tried using the
Right click to download banner, but the pictures would just show up
with a red "X" To turn off this option, go to
tools>options>security>change automatic download settings. The
information you need to turn off this setting are in there. Once
disabled, all new pictures in new email will be automatically
downloaded. You will have to download pictires for old email, however,
it won't give you the "X" anymore.
