right click in Navigation pane

Zoe

I am trying to edit a macro that has been created, but when i try to right
click on the macro in the navigation pane to go to design view, it will do
nothing. Is there absolutely nowhere else that I can go to edit this macro?

Thanks, Wes

Does this happen for you in every database or just a specific one?
Similarly, does this happen with just a certain Macro or any Macro? Is the
menu poping up and the Design View link isn't working or can you not even
see the right click menu? If it is the latter, does the right click menu
appear for other objects in the NavPane (like Tables, Queries, Forms, etc)?

You could try clicking on the Macro once to select it, and then, assuming
your keyboard has the button, press the menu key (on newer keyboards, there
is a button, usually between control and alt on the right size of the
keyboard that will pop open right click menus).

This just happens in one database. Other databases work fine. The menu button
does not work as well. And you it also does not work on forms, queries,
tables, etc. It just will not show any menu. It does nothing when you right
click.

This database was designed in 97 a long time ago and now we imported all of
the tables and forms and things into a new 2007 database.

I did find a workaround for this. I made a completely new database and
imported everything into it and then it worked.

Glad you found a work around. I am not sure what would have been causing
the menu to not appear, though it sounds like there was a problem with the
database itself. If it starts happening again, please make sure to let me
know.

I actually did find the problem now. In the Access Options there is an
obscure little checkbox that says "Allow Default shortcut menus." this was
unchecked in my first database. I still think there should be a different way
to get to the design view of macros besides right-clicking in the navigation
pane and selecting design view.

Thank you for your responses
