Roles & Responsibilities?

In the typical medium sized MS Project Server implementation, what is the
relationship between the MS Project Server Administrator and the MIS
department? Do MS Project Server Administrators typically have access to
Application Event logs, View Drop folders, and other possible system
information areas that could aid in trouble shooting problems with the MS
Project Server, PWA, and interfaces with any other servers such as a SQL
server in the system?

Hi Bob,

This always seems to be a bit of a difficult question, but in my
experience your typical Project server administrator is more some-one
with project administration skills (as it were), than your typical
technical support administrator. the technical support department does
also play a role, but only for the stuff that you mentioned down here
(monitoring event logs, etc). Your Project Server administrator will
doing things more in the line of managing Views in Project Centre and
Project Pro, configuring your Ent. Global and so on.

hope it helps.
Nico
