Rotate a Text Box-is that possible?

I recently had a co-worker ask how she could get text boxes in Word to be
slightly rotated as she wanted to have the Text Boxes angled on a triangle in
her Word document.
At first, I thought that would be no problem but I was getting mixed up with
the esse of Text Box manipulation in PowerPoint and Publisher.

Word doesn't appear to allow the Text Boxes to be Rotated at the angle of
choice.
Am I missing something or is this a limitation of Word?

At the moment, I jumped through all kinds of hoops to get the look she
wanted. I created the triangle and text Boxes in PowerPoint and got it to
look the way she wanted. They I took a screen shot and cropped it. Then I put
it into Word as an object. Way too much work !

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct - Word's implementation of Text Boxes does not allow for
rotation. You can 'fool' it by creating regular rectangles (or other
AutoShapes) and adding text to them, but although the *shape* can be rotated
the text will remain horizontal within it.

One option is to copy & paste special as picture from PPt or Publisher, or
you can do the job right from within Word... details can be found Here:

Glad to help... the main reason I'm here is to learn more, myself.
