Using Word 2007 (Build 4518.1014)
Trying to rotate a linked object.

Did as follows:
On the ribbon clicked Insert.
Then Insert Object.
Create from file tab.
Browsed/selected a PDF.
Checked Link to file.
OK.

PDF document inserted as a linked object.
Clicked on object.
No Picture Tools nor Drawing Tools available to rotate object.
Right-clicked object.
Then Format Object.
No rotate available in any tabs.

Any suggestion?

Thank you.

Inserted OLE Objects, such as Excel Worksheets & Charts, MS Graph charts,
PDF files, etc. cannot be rotated. The Insert> Object method inserts the
*file* as an object, not a Picture or a Drawing, which explains why the
respective toolbars do not display when you select those Objects... Even if
you turn those toolbars ON the tools won't be of any use.

IOW, the features you're looking for only apply to images you insert using
the Insert> Picture method or to Drawing Objects (Shapes) you create using
the program's Drawing Tools as well as many pasted elements.
