Rotate Shape attached to another shape

I have two shapes, one shape is to sit on top of the other shape and have the
ability to rotate. However I want the centre of rotation for the top shape
to be locked to a point on the bottom shape, therefore the top shape can not
be moved away from the bottom shape only rotated on that point. These
stencil object that I'm trying to create is a Slew Crane, i.e. the cranes
boom can rotate around the bottom deck of the crane.

Many thanks for everyones help....

download the zip file and look at the stencil
Object Model.vss
the shape 'Required Interface' might do something similar to what you
want.
Feel free to modify it to your requirements.

Thanks Paul,
This shape behaves much like the top deck of a crane, which is what I'm
after. But I need to lock the centre of rotation for this shape to another
shape so they are both locked together at the point of rotation. Any ideas on
that one?

Try to add connexion inward and outward to your shapes, glue them together.
When you turn the destination shape of the glue, the orign shape follow the
connection point. Perhaps it can help.
