in Visio 2003 how can i rotate multiple shapes Independently? such as rototion of 2 wheels on a bicycle without rotating the whole bicycle.

If the wheels are independent shapes (or independent sub-shapes of a group),
then you are in luck.

Did you draw the bicycle? If you grouped everything together, then you can
sub-select the wheels.

- Select the shape
- Click again on a wheel.
You will see lighter-green handles than usual around the wheel. This
means you have sub-selected a shape inside of a group.
- Look for the "lollipop" handle, grab it and rotate the wheel.
Or, open View > Size & Position and type in a numerical angle.

Some Visio shapes are "combined" for size efficiency. That means all the
vectors are in one bag. It's a bit different than a group, in that you can't
sub-select anything. But if you made the shape, you can control whether you
"Group" or "Combine" shapes together.

what i am trying to do is rotate 2 objests independly of each other. two differant object on its own axis

What you can do is to set the angle in the shapesheet of the second wheel to
be dependant on the angle of the first wheel.

Or to be cute, set the angle of both wheels to be dependant on the angle of
the pedal with appropriate scaling.

Visio 2003 changed the rotation behavior of multi-shape selections to rotate
all the shapes around a central axis. Assuming that the shapes selected all
start at the same angle, you could individual rotate the shapes using the
Size & Position window to specify the exact angle. Each shape would rotate
about its own axis to that angle.
