One approach is to use table cells with text rotated in opposite directions. But see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/DrwGrphcs/UpsideDownText.htm and/or http://www.gmayor.com/rotate_text.htm If Publisher is available to you, it is a much more suitable application for this purpose, as it has built-in templates for folded cards with rotated text (text can be rotated to any angle, including upside-down, in Publisher).
