Rounding Up

I have created a simple spreadsheet to use as a timesheet. The formula I created to calculate FICA and Medicare sometimes "rounds up" (e.g., $2,750 x 1.45% = $39.875, which Excel rounds up to $39.88). Is there something I can do to prevent this rounding up?

The result of the calculation is only "rounding up" for display purposes &
doing so only because of the formatting applied to the cell. Use Format>
Cells> Number - Currency to set the decimal display to whatever display
accuracy you prefer. Regardless of the formatting, full accuracy is retained
& used in further calculations.

If this doesn't provide what you need you'll have to be more specific about
what you *do* want rather than what you don't want :)

Wouldn't when setting places for Monetary use 3 places or 4 places
instead of two

Then on the very last item or total just show to two places?

Taxes, FICA, etc., often have specific rounding rules. Carrying extra
digits isn't always appropriate.
