RPC-HTTP broken after Office SP1

Ever since I've installed Service Pack 1 for Office 2003,
I haven't been able to use RPC over HTTP. I thought it
may have been an exchange problem since I had just
upgraded to SP1 on the exchange server, but I can still
use webmail. It turns out that even though I have Outlook
configured correctly, it is trying to connect via TCP/IP
only, instead of HTTP. I have followed the setup to the
letter in the Knowledge Base articles. Is there a little
mod I must do to get it to work or should I just reinstall
Outlook without SP1?

FWIW, SP1 for Exchange changes RPC/HTTP behavior. For example, Exchange
proxies all directory calls to the Global Catalog servers. This change
means that the RPC Proxy will have to have the ports changed accordingly.

ps - if you open exchange system manager, there is a new tab on the server
object labeled RPC-HTTP. You might have to make sure this is set right as
well.
