Since having to repair my windows installation i am now getting these error
messages when i try to connect to my Exchange server:

A system component, RPC required by outlook to connect to the e-mail server
is not configured properly. for more information contact your system
administrator.

What can i do the resolve this.

Do you have these registry keys?

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientProtocols]
"ncacn_np"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_ip_tcp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncadg_ip_udp"="rpcrt4.dll"
