Rule Fails

Steve

This is my second attempt to post today, since the first
post never showed.

I have two rules in Outlook 2003 (GA).

Rule 1: Always works fine

Apply this rule after a message arrives
with 'job' or 'resume' in the subject or body
move it to the Job Search folder
and mark it as read

Rule 2: Only works if run manually

Apply this rule after a message arrives
with "virus" or "warning" in the subject or body
permanently delete it
and stop processing more rules

Rule 1 is the higher order, rule 2 the last rule.

Rule 2 will not fire even if rule 1 is disabled.

Rule 1 will always execute. As you can see, "stop
processing" is not enabled on rule 1.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

My "low tech" suggestion is to delete your second rule and shut the Rules
Wizard. Then go back in and make it again. I constantly find that Outlook
forgets to save rules and doesn't run them. I don't think it's a problem
with you doing anything wrong - just a Microsoft glitch.

Good luck!
