Is there a way to get the ruler to display its measurements from left to
right, instead of from the center outward? If so, how?

You can't change the centred ruler. If you need to measure from zero the "All

I was trying to get a precise measurement on the size of some of the items
(textboxes and autoshpes) in a slide.

Meantime, I have learned how to get the textboxes/autoshapes to show their
size. So, I now have a workaround.
