To all that have had a problem with the ruler showing the
wrong increments after you have installed Office
Professional XP over the Windows 2000 OS:
In Word: press ALT + F11 to run the Visual Basic Editor
On the View menu - click Immediate Window
In the Immediate Window (at bottom) type the following
command:
Options.UseCharacterUnit=False
and press Enter.
I was happy to help with this. It drove me nuts, until I
discovered the fix. KO
