I using outlook on two different machines (locations) with
a .pst file on a mobile drive.
When connecting the mobile drive and opening outlook for
the first time from the machine were I arrive, I have to
open 'rules and alerts' uncheck and recheck one of the
rules and click apply, click ok before the messages are
being downloaded. If I do not do this, the following
happens:
the rules will not work or run until I switch them on. For
example: when a message arrives that is covered by a rule,
a text box pops up alerting me that the particular rules
could not be run. I than have to open rules alerts, -
where the checkboxes for this particular rule has become
unchecked- check the rule and click apply, ok etc.
Is there a way to avoid this so that even when switching
between machines and opening outlook for the first time,
both outlook versions on both machines will recognize and
operate the rules and alerts without having to go through
the above procedure each time?!
THanks for a advise - reply
