Rules and Alerts Not working properly

I created a rule/alert to make different sound when I recieve email
from specific people. However it doesn't work all messages play the
same sound. I can't figure out what the problem is. I am using Outlook
2003 on Vista.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Turn off Outlook's sound notification.
