rules and alerts

hello,
is anyone else having problems with the rules and alerts?
i am using outlook 2003.
and my company always is beging us to donate time and money to their causes.
so i created a rule:
apply this rule after the message arrives
with volunteer in the subject
and with volunteer in the body
move it to the deleted items folder.

however i still get emails in my inbox.
do the rules really work?

Add the "stop processing more rules" action as well.
