rules and distribution list

In setting up a rule (outlook 2000) to
filter mail, I want to use the
except if from DISTRIBUTION LIST
But when I select the distribution list it
says: this is a personal list that cannot be
used, do you want to use the addresses? (which
it wont do if you say yes)

my problem:
I want the rule to reference the LIST so when I add
contacts they are used by the rule without my
having to add them separately to the rule.


Wondering if I need some patch or download?
