Outlook has suddenly started giving me the following error on startup:
"The operation could not be completed because the connection is busy
performing other tasks. Try again later."
It then disables one of my rules, forcing me to reenable it every time.
I have two rules. If I run both at any time other than startup, they
run properly. I have tried deleting and reconstructing the rules, or
rewriting them. This did not help. I should note that I am using an
IMAP connection, not exchange.
Rule 1:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
uses the Message form
and on this machine only
display a Desktop Alert
Rule 2: (this one gets disabled)
Apply this rule after the message arrives
sent to [a particular mailing list]
and on this machine only
move it to the [folder I use for that mailing list]
and permanently delete it
and stop processing more rules
Both of these rules uesd to work with no problem.
Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?
Thanks!
