I'm running Outlook 2003 and have several rules intended to catch spam. I've
also enabled the foreign address block in the Junk Email settings. The
foreign address block has never worked under any circumstance and my rules
rarely work automatically. They always work when I fire them off manually.
I've tried repairing my installation of Outlook with no improvement. I've
tried leaving my Outlook open for extended periods of time because a thread I
found indicated that the rules engine does not load immediately when the
program is launched and could account for why an initial download of email
from the server was not being filtered.
I've installed all available updates so I'm at a loss now as to why this
feature is not working as it should. Any insight that anyone can provide?
