Rules don't run offline in Outlook2003

I'm running Outlook 2003 setup with my Exchange server. I have created a rule for incomming mail which, when I'm connect to Exchange, the rule runs correctly.

However, when I'm offline but in Outlook (i.e, working with email coming in from another source like a POP3 account), the rules don't filter. Everything appears in the INBOX only

Under Outlook2002, this worked correctly. It's only since the upgrade that the rules only run when connected to Exchange

Any ideas on what's going on? Is this a bug or do I need to do something different to the rules?

Did you upgrade over Outlook 2002? If yes, then try a new mail profile.

w/out reading.

Yes - i did upgrade over 2002. What do you mean when you say "try a new mail profile"? Do you mean delete my existing profile and recreate it again
