Rules - duplicate e-mail

Marvin

I have set up many rules to transfer incoming e-mails to different folders.
The problem is that 2 or 3 duplicates of some of the e-mails appear in the
various folders. Is there a way to backtrack the rules Outlook 2007 used for
each e-mail so that I can efficiently correct and/or delete the unneeded
Rules that are causing this to happen?

Thanks.

Do you include the "stop processing more rule" action on the rules that move
messages? Without it you could get duplicated messages as more than one
rule acts upon a specific message.

Thanks Brian. I've now added that action in the rules and will monitor the
process to see what happens. There is probably a description of each of the
actions for the rules, but ai haven't found it yet.
