Outlook 2003 rules aren't working automatically like they did for me in
Outlook Express. Each rule is check "on" but must I click "run rules now"
each time under Tools, Rules and Alerts...?
The rules I've set up are subject line based with a specific phrase. Does
the rule search for the exact match or use the criteria in an "any part"
match? The subject line will not be an exact match every time as there is a
date stamp after the specific phrase I have set the rule up to search.
Express searched using an "any part" match and move the messages to the
designated folder. Outlook 2003 doesn't run the rules unless I go to Tools,
Rules and Alerts... and press "run rules now" and select the rule to run.
[Aside] In fact, my company has just "upgraded" my computer to Office 2003
and I am having quite a few functionality reductions like this. Access is
kicking my ass with what is was doing fine in ver 2000 to what it says it
can't do now in 2003. Good Lord.
