rules not working

Hi folks

I have rules set up but they don't seem to work. Spam with my list of
excluded words regularly get through. I created a template for an
autoresponder...the rule worked fine until I tried to delete it....and then
it would not.

Are these known problems or should I just reinstall?

Diane Poremsky [MVP]

1) reinstall rarely solves anything.
2) do the rules work if you let outlook run all the time? there are problems
with rules on the first mail pass after opening outlook but if you leave it
open, it should work. also, rules don't work well on HTML.

The spam is HTML.

Rules don't scan HTML mesages well. Perhaps the SPAM is in HTML.
