Rules Problem

A

am

I am running Entourage 10.1.6 on OS X 10.3.9. I retrieve emails via
POP from Gmail.

I have created some Rules to make messages go into specific folders
and not into my inbox. But they are not working. Instead they go into
Inbox and I get a popup Error message.

Error message:
"The mailing list rule "Untitled" could not be executed"

and Explanantion:
"The message could not be filed because the destination folder cannot
be found"

a. I have no mailing list named Untitled
b. I have selected the destination folders in the Rules dialog box

This is what I did:

I have created two folders in On My Computer - Samarra + Facebook.

I created rules for each of them - see screencap (deleted email
address for privacy)

Your help is appreciated.

In the Finder, remove your Rules file from your Identity and trash it.
Entourage will create a new blank one. Recreate your rules from scratch.
Does this solve your problem?

Did you check the Mailing List Manager under the Tools menu? A "mailing
list rule" refers to mailing lists set up in that interface.
