Rules running in wrong order!

A

Alain Dekker

Hi,

I'm getting a fair amount of spam from hotmail.com address, so I set up a
spam filter to put messages coming in from senders who had "hotmail.com" in
the address into a separate folder. I put it right at the end of my Rules
list, below another rule that filters an email I get from a friend who has a
hotmail account into a "Friends" folder.

However, even though the spam filter is BELOW my friend filter, it still
catches his emails. Whats going on? Why aren't the rules being applied in
the order they supposed to be?

If I copy the file from the spam folder back to my inbox, and run my friend
rule manually, it works fine.

Please help!
Thanks,
Alain

Make sure your friend rule includes the "stop processing" action so his messages aren't handled twice.
