I am using Office 2002 Small Business (10.6515.6714) SP3 on XP. All of a
sudden, my rules wizard quit working correctly. I assign each of my email
accounts to corresponding folders. I select 'Apply this rule after this
message arrives through the specified (selected) account > move it to the
specified (selected) folder > FINISH. I can see the checked rule in the
'Apply rules in the following order' window. Upon clicking OK (save), I get
the message box telling me "A value in the Rule description box has not been
set. To set a value click the underlined words at the bottom of the rules
wizard box" - as though I did not do this. This happens for ANY action using
the rules wizard - no matter what is being done. In other words, once I open
the rules wizard, I can not do anything without having to cancel to get out
of the wizard. I have tried a detect and repair, to no avail. My machine is
clear of viruii and spyware, so no problems there. I have not updated to the
latest Office updates though, due to not being able to locate a disc. This
being said, it was working fine even after the latest available updates were
posted. I do keep my XP updated, although I will not update to SP2 yet until
those bugs are worked out. Again, it was working fine, and all of a sudden,
for no apparent reason, this problem happened. Thanks for any help.
