I have two rules for Outlook 2002.
The first rule checks to see if the word 'remedy' appears
in the subject area. If it does, the message is moved to
another folder called 'remedy'.
The second announces new mail when a new message arrives
in the inbox.
The rules are in the order listed above therefore execute
in that order (as I understand it).
Here's what happens.
A message arrives in the inbox with 'remedy' in the
subject. It is moved to the remedy folder but the 'new
mail' announcement takes place also. I can watch the
inbox and the 'remedy' message never appears on the
screen. Why does the announcement rule still announce a
new message when it has already been moved to another
folder by the time that rule executes.
Thank you.
