run both Office 2003 & 2007

I train people in Micorosoft Office and have some clients using 2003 and some
2007. What's the easiest way to have them both on my laptop. I wouldn't run
them simultanously and I don't think I need Windows XP for my needs.

Is it possible to just put 2003 on an external hard drive? That sounds too
simple to be true.

Thanks

Install 2003 then install 2007, you should be given the option to leave the
earlier install inplace. You will only be able to have one instance of
Outlook on the machine.

If you need to have both versions of Outlook then investigate running XP in
a virtual machine and load 2003 on the virtual machine.

The MS advice is to install earliest version first, update, before
installing later version.
Only a single instance of Outlook can be installed
You can install the Office program folder to another drive but it will still
install various files to the C drive, & registry.
You would probably need to set up a Virtual Machine if you wanted to use
both versions of OL
