Run database from thumb drive

G

Greg

I would like to run a database directly from an a USB drive. I am not allowed
to install Access or the runtime version on t he end computers. Is there any
way to configure the database or thumb drive to run the database and runtime
version directly from the drive?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Greg,
to run the database you need the software program access or the runtime
access installed.
As you can't install access or the runtime on the computer you are pretty
well stumped.
I have a small program that is installed on a thumb drive and runs from
there, but I can't imagine that you could install access on your thumb
drive.

You can't with Access as Jeanette has posted.

The VB6 runtime is installed on Windows PCs these days. Trouble is
what kind of grid control will work without installing anything I have
no idea.
