Run Office from the Server

Adrian

Hi! Everyone,

I wanted to run Office 2000 from the server rather than
installing it on each client machine. Does anyone know how
this can be done. Appreciate it.

Thanks,
Adrian

create an administrative install point (run: setup.exe /a) on the server, and install on the client machines a 'custom' install (either creating an installation using the custom installation wizard or just by browsing to the administrative installation from the client machines) and choose 'Run from network' for the each office component.

You can look into using Terminal Services but you will have to specify the
versions of Office and Windows Server for specific information. You will
also need to have an Enterprise or Select version of Office to run it from
the server.
