Run-time error “3218†could not update; currently locked

I have a 2003 db that a lot of different users log in to but they can only
see their own records. The Option is set for No Locks and Shared. But on one
particular form, they keep getting an error message 'Could not update;
Currently locked.

I would greatly appreciate any help.
