Run-time error 1004

When activating a macro to establish a pivot table, I
receive this message: Run-time error 1004 "Unable to get
the PivotTables property of the Worksheet class."
Searched the knowledge base but could find no references
even approximating this error message. What would help
first is a definition of what my problem is, and then we
can talk fixes.
