Run-Time Error 3211

I'm working on a form where one combo box is the record
source for the next combo box, etc....... When I select
the item I want from the first combo box, I get this
message:

Run-Time Error 3211

The database engine could not lock table 'HOLD_RespID'
because it is already in use by another person or
process.

HELP!!
