Run Time Error

When I start a new db file with the wizard, once the company info is entered and I close the window, I get a Run Time Error 2147024769 (8007007F) Method 'Connection' of object '_CurrentProject' failed. Then when I go to cancel, it sems to have frozen. The only successful way I can close the application is to use the Task Manager. Help!
