Running DoCmd's in an MDE

This company uses an mdb as a system manager to open and work with multiple
mde's. Because of this set up none of the DoCmd's native to Access are
usable. DoCmd.TransferText or DoCmd.AnyOtherCommand etc... My question is:
Is there any other way to execute the DoCmd's in a system set up like this?
Like CodeDb.Execute(TargetMDE.DoCmd.Whatever) ???
