Running macros in forms

For each item selected in the drop down list, I need 3 checkboxes and 3
options(text boxes) to get automatically created, so that user can check one
of them and proceed. How cani get this done?
Also the checkboxes created when checked do not contain ticks but crosses.
How can I get the tick boxes ?
I do not know VB coding, I hope this is not beyond my comprehension !!

If you don't want to do coding, you are in the wrong newsgroup. This one is
about programming.

There are a number of ways to create and use clickable checkboxes in
documents / templates. Some require protected or locked forms, others do
not. Those in protected forms can only have an X to check the box. Othere
can have anything you can find the symbol for. Take a look at the Checkbox
template available at
http://www.addbalance.com/word/download.htm#CheckboxAddIn for an exploration
of these.

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/LinesInForms.htm.

When programming forms to allow the user to add formfields, I have found it
useful to save an AutoText entry of the field and use vba to insert that
AutoText entry rather than hard-coding the field itself. For me, this makes
it easier to make changes.

Hope this helps,
