Running Office 2003, Office 2007 updates called out.

I am running Windows XP Professional V2002 SP3 and have Office 2003
installed. I went to Windows Update and selected Express. Recommended
updates for Office 2007 were returned.

I do not have the Office 2007 compatibility pack installed (this was noted
as a possible cause for Windows Update recommending O 2007 updates to an O
2003 install by LVTravel in another post).

Should I download and install the recommended updates for Office 2007 when I
am running Office 2003?

If I install them will they have any affect on my Office 2003 programs?
